Sometimes life comes with challenges and difficulties that affect how we function. Together we can evaluate your difficulties and come up with a plan to rise above them. If you are ready to engage in therapy, discuss your feelings and make small yet consistent changes to your life for the better, contact me so we can start treatment. I am board certified in adult psychiatry and have training in child and adolescent psychiatry. This training helps me better understand your development and how your past might affect your present. I am best equipped to help adolescents, young adults, adults experiencing difficulties with transitions and the LGBTQIA population.
I engage my patients with evidence based psychotherapies that best suit your needs as well as what has proven most effective for your particular concern. From cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT, CBT for eating disorders, trauma focused CBT,) exposure and response prevention (ERP,) to family based treatment and insight oriented psychotherapy.
Depending on the severity of your current predicament or how well a medication works for a particular diagnosis I might suggest medications that target your symptoms. Together we will review these interventions so you feel comfortable with your treatment. My intention is to help you gain the skills and understanding of yourself so you can live your life to its fullest.
